Gillian Cavell is Deputy Director of Pharmacy, Medication Safety at King’s College Hospital in London. She has had an interest in medication safety since 1993, when she led the introduction of an anonymous medication error reporting scheme. Gillian has been involved in a number of projects to promote safe medicines use, including a pilot scheme to investigate the feasibility of anonymous error reporting in primary care. She has also worked with both the Department of Health and the National Patient Safety Agency on national medication safety issues. |
