Alan Sprigg
Consultant Paediatric Radiologist MB ChB, DCH, DRCOG, DMRD, FRCR, FRCPCH

Prior to entering radiology training, Alan held clinical posts in paediatrics, neonatal surgery and obstetrics and gynaecology. He trained in paediatric radiology in Sheffield and Toronto after which he was appointed Consultant Paediatric Radiologist in Liverpool at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Mill Road Maternity hospital. After 5 years, Alan moved to be Head of Department at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and the Jessop Wing of Sheffield Teaching. He has special interests in paediatric, neonatal and obstetric imaging, imaging suspected non-accidental injury, teaching and education. He is an author on Module 5 (Paediatrics) of the Radiology Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI).
