This has included the impact of television alcohol advertising, respite care for disabled children and adolescents, and the specific needs of young people with IBD from black and minority ethnic communities. Recent research has included an evaluation of parent and professional views of the use of the Ages & Stages Questionnaire 3™ and the Ages & Stages Questionnaire: Social-Emotional 2nd Ed™ as part of the Healthy Child Programme 2-2.5 year child health and development review; this was part of an NIHR Policy Research Programme study.

She has currently completing a project on the development and piloting of an intervention to enhance resilience in parents of children with complex health needs, and working on an intervention for parents-to-be which informs and supports them in understanding and promoting their baby’s social and emotional development.
