Stephen Scott is a Consultant Child Psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital, London where he heads the National Conduct Problems Team. He is also Professor of Child Health and Behaviour at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London. Clinically, he is interested in improving outcomes for hard to manage children and adolescents, and finding ways to disseminate good practice at a national level.
Stephen recently chaired the NICE Guideline Development Group on Antisocial Behaviour and Conduct Disorders (2013) and leads for parenting interventions in the Children and Young People's Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (CY-IAPT) initiative. With Robert Goodman, he is the author of the introductory text Child Psychiatry (3rd edn. 2012) and is an editor and author on Rutter's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (6th edn. in preparation). |
