Gerry McKay

Professor Gerry McKay is a Consultant Physician and Clinical Pharmacologist working in the NHS. His clinical interests include the management of diabetes (specifically diabetic nephropathy), acute medicine and obstetric medicine. He actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate education holding honorary appointments at the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde.

He has a keen interest in all aspects of prescribing, believing that all medical students and doctors should understand the balance of benefit and risk of medications in order to advise patients on individual therapeutic choices.
