Dr. Thomas is a Consultant Nephrologist and Physician at the Heart of England Foundation Trust in Birmingham, England, where he is also Clinical Director for Education.
He has had a clinical research interest in acute kidney injury (AKI) for some years, including earlier detection and intervention in AKI.
He is involved in various clinical and educational initiatives to improve care in AKI, and is chair of the NICE AKI clinical guidelines development group. |
