Paul Dunckley
Gastroenterology Consultant at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Gloucester

Dr Paul Dunckley trained on the Oxford rotation where he developed interests in inflammatory bowel disease and functional gut disorders. He has a PhD awarded at Oxford University in 2006 in the use of functional magnetic resonance imaging in studying the brain’s responses to visceral pain.

Paul is the Deputy Director of the Gloucestershire Endoscopy Training Centre and is faculty on a variety of courses including skills improvement courses and training the trainer courses. He is also the National Lead for the development and national roll out of the new JETS e-Portfolio for trainees in endoscopy. In addition he sits on the JAG Working Group for the quality assurance of endoscopy training and chairs the sub-group responsible for the QA of trainees in endoscopy.
