Naila Kamal Associate Specialist |

Naila Kamal is an Associate Specialist at North West London Trust Hospitals. Her professional involvement ranges from membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to fellowship of Higher Education Authority of the UK. Naila’s subspecialty is gynaecological oncology however, she now considers herself more an educationist than a clinician. Naila holds advanced qualifications in medical education which have enabled her to create educational resources using modern educational theories and cutting edge technologies.
Naila is an honorary lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine. Her special interest in the educational field is development of online resources, particularly simulation (virtual and game based learning tools). She is the co-ordinator for Imperial College O&G e-Learning program and has co-authored modules for them.
Naila is the Trust Lead on various educational programs e.g. London Deanery’s Frontier Project of CPD for SASG doctors, for which she is an advisor. She is the Lead for a London Deanery’s pilot on ’Professionalism’ at her Trust, and is Deputy Lead for the faculty of undergraduate teaching in O&G at NWLH Trust.
Naila’s aim for all her remits is to contribute towards medical education so as to facilitate highly competent, caring and professional doctors for the future.
