Professor Roopen Arya is Director of the King’s Thrombosis Centre and Honorary Clinical Director for Thrombosis at NHS London. He is Professor of Thrombosis and Haemostasis at King’s College London and Lead Clinician and Deputy Clinical Director of Haematological Medicine at King’s College Hospital.
Professor Arya is Senior Medical Advisor on venous thromboembolism (VTE) to the Department of Health; he sits on the VTE Board and is Director of the National VTE Exemplar Centres network. King’s College Hospital was the first such exemplar centre in the NHS. His main interests are VTE, thrombophilia and the new anticoagulants. He heads an active programme of clinical research around thrombosis, thrombophilia and anticoagulants. |
