Robert graduated from the Royal Free Hospital and began anaesthesia training in Brighton and Birmingham.
After a year at Hôpital Lariboisière in Paris, where he developed an interest in intensive care, he took up a Senior Registrar post at University College London (UCL) and Middlesex Hospitals. He continued at UCL for another two years as Research Fellow studying the mechanisms of cerebral injury associated with cardiac surgery.
Robert is a content author for the e-LA project.
