Jane is a consultant physician in palliative medicine at UCLH and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Jane studied medicine at Guys and St Thomas's hospitals and trained in palliative medicine across London at several hospices, UCLH and the Royal Marsden.

Jane has a specific interest in early palliative care for patients with cancer, with an emphasis on improving their quality of life by optimising symptom control. She has contributed to the NICE guidance for brain tumours and written the end of life care chapter in a book on neurological diseases. She is very involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education. She led the team that won the Cancer Care Initiative of the Year at the 2019 HSJ Patient Safety Awards.
