She has worked within the NHS for 29 years, working at the Royal Manchester Children’s hospital for 24 years covering all specialties within the Hospital including the ENT/Tracheostomy care. Her clinical specialism is feeding and swallowing difficulties within the age range of 0-19 yrs. She also works within Neonatal care as well as developing SALT services across the North West.

 

Jo teaches regularly on a number of undergraduate and post-graduate courses on feeding and swallowing difficulties training both Speech & Language Therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team both in the UK and internationally.

 

She also has a number of publications including a chapter on Paediatric Videofluroscopy (2012) in Videofluroscopy, A Multidisciplinary Approach, Newman & Nightingale.

Jo is a content author with the National Tracheostomy Safety Project.

Jo has recently been appointed to the Lead SLT role for North West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (NWNODN).
