Jo is Professional Lead for Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy within MFT.
She has worked within the NHS for 29 years, working at the Royal Manchester Children’s hospital for 24 years covering all specialties within the Hospital including the ENT/Tracheostomy care. Her clinical specialism is feeding and swallowing difficulties within the age range of 0-19 yrs. She also works within Neonatal care as well as developing SALT services across the North West. Jo teaches regularly on a number of undergraduate and post-graduate courses on feeding and swallowing difficulties training both Speech & Language Therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team both in the UK and internationally. She also has a number of publications including a chapter on Paediatric Videofluroscopy (2012) in Videofluroscopy, A Multidisciplinary Approach, Newman & Nightingale.
Jo is a content author with the National Tracheostomy Safety Project.
Jo has recently been appointed to the Lead SLT role for North West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (NWNODN).
