Rich Kitchen completed his medical training at the University of Leicester, qualifying in 2006. He completed his palliative medicine training on the West Midlands rotation, and during this time also completed a Masters in Medical Education. 

Rich is now a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at LOROS Hospice, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leicester. He was the APM e-ELCA Lead from 2017 to 2022.
