Stella Hornby is currently clinical lead for Ophthalmology and Lead for the Eye Emergency Department in Oxford Eye Hospital.
She has a special interest in emergency eye care, primary care ophthalmology, diabetic retinopathy, low vision and education and is
particularly known for her skills in diagnosis and her ‘down to earth’ common sense approach to medicine.
Stella is a Partner in Primary Care Ophthalmology LLP which organises training courses for GPs. She is also Annual Primary Care Ophthalmology Conference and RCOphth representative for Map of Medicine, Primary and Community Eye Health Committee (Vision2020) and the primary care representative of the RCOphth Professional Standards Committee.
